Apex Guelph Physiotherapy

Patty was an avid golfer and cross-country runner in her youth. She loves the outdoors and enjoys staying active through hiking, kayaking, yoga and pilates.

Patty brings over 30 years of valued experience in orthopaedic, musculoskeletal, sports injury and post-surgical rehabilitation, and is dedicated to helping clients of all ages and activity levels to confidently return to the activities that matter most to them.

A graduate of the University of Western Ontario’s Physical Therapy program, Patty’s passion for physiotherapy began after experiencing its benefits firsthand as a young runner. She has since dedicated her career to helping people to move better and grow stronger, recover from injury, return to sport and achieve meaningful, lasting results.

Known for her warm, collaborative approach and her commitment to delivering client-centred, goal-oriented care, her treatment approach combines hands-on manual therapy with individualized exercise programming to optimize movement, strength, and function. She believes the best outcomes occur when clients are active participants in their recovery and works closely with each individual to develop treatment plans tailored to each client’s goals, lifestyle, and priorities.

Committed to lifelong learning, Patty remains curious and fascinated by how the body moves and it’s ability to both heal and improve. She continues to expand her skills and knowledge to ultimately better serve her clients. Patty has completed extensive post-graduate training in manual therapy, movement and gait analysis, exercise rehabilitation, muscle imbalances, acupuncture, concussion management, and vestibular rehabilitation. She is ACC Level 1 Certified in Acupuncture.

Outside of the clinic, Patty had years of experience providing training and sideline care for her daughter’s hockey and softball teams. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, getting outside with her dog, hiking, kayaking, photography, reading and studying Spanish. She has a long bucket-list of places she’d love to travel to! Patty also speaks Spanish and French.
